Legacy shows us the future of their world and the new worlds they have discovered throughout the stars, but no matter how far they travel, war is always but a Stone's throw away.

The McLoughlins

Western

The Eye of the Storm.jpg
Storm Bringer.jpg

The Lazy Leaf Ranch in Donegal, Texas, has been owned by the McLoughlins since 1854.  Over the course of a hundred and sixty years, they have had more than their fair share of adventures.  Safe Haven takes place in 1886 when a New York City girl steps off the train in tiny Donegal, Texas.  The whole town smells trouble, but when trouble comes knocking, it is nothing Caleb and the boys cannot handle.  Any Port in a Storm takes place in 1906 as Claudette McLoughlin boards a train back east headed for home, but just across the border of Texas everything goes wrong.  The Eye of the Storm brings Donegal, Texas and its inhabitants into the modern world.  There is just one problem – Donegal's not exactly equipped for the modern world, which is why the entire town's eyes were watching as Sidney Brooks, a big-city cop from San Francisco, joins the Donegal County Sheriff's Department.  But even in this quiet town, he cannot run from his demons.

O'Brien shipping

McLoughlin companion books

The first thing you learn working for O'Brien shipping is the motto of Sebastian O'Brien, first said sometime in the early 1870s.  "We at O'Brien shipping take care of our own."  You will find that was as true then it as it is now over 100 years later.  In Corruption or Luck, Sean Haggerty, a New York City motorcycle officer who stumbles upon a case which propels his career in a new direction and causes him to ask himself is it corruption or luck.  Storm Bringer shows a new side of O'Brien shipping when Cyrus Mason, ex-military turned spy with the cover of a substitute teacher, finds himself forced to clean up a little mess he made.
